For those that get to Nashville by Friday at noon they can follow me to the Nashville Convention center to pick up registration packets and walk through the expo. We can meet at Brentwood Baptist Church. Brentwood is about 15 miles south of Nashville and directly off the interstate.
Friday night before the race we are going to have a spaghetti dinner at my house. My house is in Franklin which is south of Nashville. I know for some of you this might be a little far to drive, but for others staying in Cool Springs/Brentwood then it might make sense. The dinner will start around 6:00. There is no need for anybody to bring anything as the local runners will provide everything. You will also have the pleasure of experiencing my mommas homemade spaghetti sauce recipe. We will also have a bag with a couple of pieces of fruit and a couple Cup’s Of Gold energy bars to take home.
We will meet at Brentwood Baptist Church for those that do not have shuttle access to the race. There are a few shortcuts that can be taken, otherwise the traffic is horrible race morning from all directions with bottlenecks that can be avoided. We will meet at 4:30am. Brentwood Baptist is right off I-65 and about a 20-30 minute drive on non-race mornings.
Pre-race prayer will be at The Parthenon at 6:15. You can’t miss the building as it is huge and in the middle of the park. If your back is to the start line it will be the corner closest to you on the left(southwest corner).
For those that would like to meet after the race we will congregate underneath the letter “C” at the family gathering area for stories and a little recovery!
Please let me know what events/activities you are interested in. I want to make sure we do not leave anybody behind and have enough food for everybody. Also, if somebody is traveling with you please let me know. If you have already responded please do so again as I want to double check my list. Also, I would like to know where you are coming from.
