These are three words that changed my life. I had overlooked these words most of my life. Besides what do they mean? I was asking the wrong question. What should they mean? Yes this is more appropriate. A kind gesture of appreciation when we say thanks, I should say not. I was looking at it all wrong. Or should it be an invitation to enter? I had not realized the importance of this meaning since I had not been exposed to it in the past. Most of our society is exclusive today. We live in a society where membership, invitations or inheritance is required. It seemed like I had none of these. Nor was I going to get them anytime soon.

That was until I realized that there is one who welcomes you despite your shortcomings. He actually searches for you. I had seen him many times in my life and was helped by his hand even more often. I was kept from harms way (in times of war) more than once. Not because I deserved it rather because he had something more in mind for me. While I do not know what that something is. I know that I can accomplish it through him. Perhaps it is simply to tell you this story so that I may truly understand it myself. Or perhaps it is to raise a child to do even greater things than I. I do not know. However, rest assured that I will do it with much enthusiasm whatever it may be.

Ultimately I know that I must tell you, this is what the Lord our God says. “You Are Welcome!”
