I'm John Penrice and I am pleased to be leading the new ChristianRunners.org Detroit chapter. I live, worship, work and run in Western Wayne County. We are one of the newer ChristianRunners chapters. We are small, but growing. We run together on Saturday mornings in Hines Park & surrounding areas. Hope you'll join us soon!

We are winding down the 2008 season. Thanks to all who ran with us this year. I will be out of commission for the next month or so, but hope to be able to run again mid-to-late December. I will be in touch in the event that there are runners interested in continuing through the winter. Regardless, we will resume our regular weekly group runs in the Spring.
Races
6 of us ran the Run Drugs Out Of Town 5K in Hines Park/Westland on June 14th. John & Cameron ran the Heart of the Hills 5K in Bloomfield Hills on July 26th. Click here to see our race results. Paul completed the Chicago Marathon on October 12th. John & Shawn ran Detroit on the 19th, Shawn completing the marathon & John the half.
